Description: Pomander of a globular form with segments that open like an orange and compartments with sliding lids. Engraved with four figures with attributes of the natural world in oval cartouches and with cupids and arabesques between the cartouches. Each design element corresponds to a single segment when the pomander is opened. The interior of each segment, visible when the pomander is opened, as well as the lid, base, and interior "core" or cylinder are engraved with floral arabesques. Each of the eight segments are labelled with a particular spice or herb: 1. Canel; 2. Moscat; 3. Rosmarin; 4. Ruten; 5. Neghelen; 6. Rosen; 7. Saffran; 8. Citronen.
